Horizontal Hinged Closure
  • Used for horizontal applications in scraper traps, large O.D. filter units, launchers and receivers
  • Distinct advantages:
  • All sizes 6" and larger utilize center mounted hinge therefore, the swing direction does not have to be predetermined
  • Bearings and bushings on larger sizes for ease of operation
  • In the event the seal is broken by the operator, under pressure, 90% of the rugged acme thread engagement still remains

Vertical Hinged Closure

  • Used for "vertical" applications on strainers, filters, vertical blow down risers and vertical launcher traps.

  • The cap pin is threaded with the same thread as the closure, eliminating excessive friction during opening

  • All sizes 6" thru 48" require only one operator

Angled Hinged Closure
